Hey.  I don't know if you remember me, but you commented on a post of mine, all the way back in March... lol.  I don't get on here very much... Anyway, thanks for the comment!  Love your site by the way... and I'm definitely feeling the Tom Petty lyrics.  Won't back down is one of my favorite songs of all times. And you're right, it does seem like we are alot alike.  Anyway, I just put up a new post on my site and am resolving for the umteenth time to try to blog on a regular basis.  Haha. So much to say, and so little time in the day!  Thanks again.  Be sure to leave me a comment.  No one else ever does...

YES!  That book was absolutely amazing.  I read quite a bit, but I am so ADD that it always takes me forever to get through a book, because I have to go back and read everything two or three times before it sinks in, but that book captivated me from the beginning.  I think I finished it in 3 days,  which is record speed for me!  lol.  In the book, the author presents a theory that God has revealed himself through general revalation (the author calls this the Melchezadek factor) to the entire world and through special revalation (The Abrahamic factor) and discusses how the two are constantly at play in the world.  The book talks about how missionaries throughout the world go into pagan tribes expecting to meet resistance as they cling to their polytheism, but discovering rather, much to their surprise, that burried deep within each cultures and folk lore is a prior belief in a monotheistic god, that often is quite characteristic with the God of the bible!  Once the missionaries realized that they had once been the recipients of God's general revalation in pointing them toward worshiping the one true God, communicating the gospel to them is that much easier.  Its kind of complicated, but it was amazing and uplifting.  I definitely recommend it!  It was written in the early eighties, but has seen several reprintings.  It should be required reading for anyone going into the missions field!
